Is it safe to swim in the ocean at Paradise Cove?

Yes, it is safe to swim in the ocean but during stinger season all guests are recommended to wear a stinger suit.

What wildlife can I expect to encounter at the Villa?

The Villa is surrounded by bushland and national park on 3 sides, Marine Park to the North. Wild flora and fauna including flocks of cockatoo’s, curious goanna’s, pigs, dingoes, snakes and spiders

How can I get to Whitehaven Beach from Paradise Cove?

We can arrange for you to be picked up from Paradise Cove in an award-winning highspeed catamaran to spend the day exploring the Whitsundays, visiting Whitehaven Beach and snorkelling the fringing reefs of the Great Barrier Reef

Do I get phone signal?

Wi-fi calling is available in the main house and the pool area (Wi-Fi coverage areas) There is no Vodafone or Optus coverage with patchy Telstra coverage on the front lawn

Can I drive my own car to the Villa?

Yes, the whole property is over 4,000 acres. The front gate is 9.5km from the Villa with the road from the gate to the Villa being about 7.5km of bitumen and 2km of dirt and gravel. A 4wd is required in heavy rain.

How do we get food to the Villas?

Centro is about 3.5 km from the front gate – Woolworths, Coles, Bunnings, all deliver to the front gate (450 Paluma Rd)

How can I see Heart Reef?

We will arrange an hour long scenic flight for you that will take you over the Whitsundays to see the incredible Whitehaven Beach from the sky before flying to the outer reef. Here you will be able to see the iconic Heart Reef before exploring other sections of the Great Barrier Reef.

Can we bring our children?

Yes, children under 12 must be supervised.

Are there any good hikes?

There is a 1 hour 20-minute hike to the top of the hill along the roadside for an incredible view. There is also 100km of dirt tracks around the property that a member of staff can escort you around.

Is there air-conditioning?

All Bedrooms and the study TV are airconditioned. The air-conditioning in the dining and living area is normally off and kept cool by the Woodwark Bay sea breeze.

How many Guests can be accommodated at Paradise Cove Villa?

 Our capacity is 18 guests.

Dream Villa: 2 Guests in a King Sized Bed with an en-suite bathroom
2 bedroom Twin Villa: 4 Guests. 2 in King Sized Bed or 2 in King or Twin Bed (one room does not have an en suite but a private outdoor bathhouse)
Villa 3, 4, 5: 2 Guests in a King or Twin Bed
Villa 6: 2 Guests in a King or Twin Bed (Outdoor private toilet and shower)
Rainforest Retreat: 2 Guests in a King or Twin Bed with an outdoor bathhouse.
Sunrise (pavilion): 2 Guests in a King Sized Bed with an external en-suite shower.

Upon request, we can increase the capacity to 32 guests if required.

Dream Villa: 5 Guests, 2 in King Bed, 3 on day beds with an en-suite bathroom
2 bedroom twin Villa: 8 Guests, 2 in King Sized Bed, 2 in King or Twin Bed, 2 on small day beds, 2 on single mattresses in the loft up the ladder (one room does not have an en suite but a private outdoor bathhouse)
Villa 3, 4 & 5: 4 Guests, 2 in King or Twin Beds, 2 single mattresses on the floor.
Villa 6: 3 Guests, 2 in King or Twin Beds, 1 single mattress on the floor (Outdoor private toilet and shower)
Rainforest Retreat: 2 Guests in a King or Twin Bed with an outdoor bathhouse.
Sunrise (pavilion): 2 Guests in a King Sized Bed with an external en-suite shower.

A $100/person /night additional fee applies (no charge for children under 5)”

Other Things You Need To Know 

1. Villa Area – The Booking is for the Villa and surrounding cabins in the Bay area only. Escorted Access to the surrounding farmland may be available for certain activities

2. Please wear shoes on the beach and carry torches at night

3. Please wear stinger suits when swimming in the Bay particularly from Nov to April. Stinger suits are available at BCF at Centro
